On last Tuesday (26th Aug 2014), my mother went to cataract eye operation at UIA Kuantan eye specialist clinic. Dr that operates my mother was Dr Khairidzan. Alhamdulillah, operation went well, mak saya kata tk sakit pun & dia tk perasaan pun bilakah mata dia kna operate. Maksudnya, operation ini amat selesa dan tidak menakutkan.
A day after that, we went back to UIA for after operation check-up. During that time, my mother body really really weak.....she cannot walked well, i need to hold her hand & shoulder to support her while she was walking. It turned out to be an upset for me when nurse open the eye's cover and asked her to read a few alphabets and she cannot read. However, I said to my mother it is ok walaupun Mek masih belum nampak huruf2 tu, kita dah buat yang terbaik, kita cuma berusaha, mungkin Allah tk bg lagi.
Dr Khairidzan said sometimes Diabetes patient thas undergone the Operation will take longer time to heal. Eyes for Diabetes patient after the Operation will become better & better. I was still positive at that time, mungkin seminggu dua lagi mata Mek kata improve. Then......ianya betul, lebih kurang seminggu mata Mek nampak, siap boleh baca Quran yg tulisan kecil2...:), tp kena pakai spek Rabun dekat yg dibeli dekat Mydin (RM10/pc), if tk silap power dia dlm 275. Spek Rabun dekat tu pakai time ngaji je, time biasa tk boleh pakai sbb dia utk tgk huruf2 & utk membaca shj.
Sepanjang 3 bulan lepas operate tu kena pantang ye, saya bagi Mek mkn ikan kering gelama bakar, daging bakar, ikan selar....hihi, tu je. Rajin la saya time tu menyediakan makanan untuk Mek sbb tk boleh beli, kena masak utk orang pantang. I can't believe I can do it. Yg saya peliknya sup tulang boleh pulak ye....sbb ada la skali dua dalam tempoh pantang tu, kitaorg dropped by kt kedai makan.
Today 18th April 2015 (8 months after), mata Mek still OK & nampak dengan eloknya. I am looking for her 2nd Operation sbb sebelum ni operate mata sblh kanan shj, skrg nk operate sebelah kiri plak.
